Who We Are

Groundskeeping,
not lawn mowing.

Lamareon Lawn Care Services LLC was organized in Akron in October of 2002 and has been owner-operated ever since. That matters more than it sounds: the person who walks your property and writes your estimate is the same person accountable for how it looks in August.

We keep our route tight and our client list deliberate. Fewer properties, the same crew on each one, week after week — because consistency is the only thing that separates a maintained landscape from a mowed one.

“A lawn tells you everything about how a place is cared for. We treat every property like the neighbors are watching — because they are.” Gerald Mitchell · Owner

What We Do

Everything outside
your front door.

One company, one point of contact, the whole property — from the weekly cut to the patio you've been putting off for three summers.

01

Weekly Lawn Maintenance

The core service. A clean, striped cut on a fixed weekly schedule, March through November.

  • Precision mow with alternating stripe pattern
  • Hand-cut edging along every walk & drive
  • String trimming around all obstacles
  • Full blow-down of hard surfaces
02

Fertilization & Weed Control

A season-long turf program built for Northeast Ohio soil, not a one-size bag from the big box.

  • Step programs timed to local growing degree days
  • Pre- and post-emergent broadleaf control
  • Grub & surface insect prevention
  • Soil correction where the turf calls for it
03

Aeration & Overseeding

The single highest-return service for a thin, compacted Ohio lawn. Booked every fall.

  • Core aeration to break up clay compaction
  • Premium cool-season seed blends
  • Starter fertilizer at seed-down
  • Follow-up watering guidance
04

Mulch & Bed Definition

The detail that makes an ordinary yard read as designed. Crisp spade edge, clean depth, no mounding.

  • Machine-cut natural spade edge
  • Hardwood, black or brown dyed mulch
  • Bed weeding & pre-emergent treatment
  • Shrub & ornamental pruning
05

Landscape Design & Install

New beds, foundation plantings and full front-yard rebuilds — designed for how the property actually lives.

  • On-site design consultation
  • Plant selection suited to your light & soil
  • Grading, drainage & soil prep
  • Sod, seed & new lawn establishment
06

Hardscapes & Outdoor Living

Paver patios, walkways, seat walls and fire features that extend the season and the house.

  • Paver & natural stone patios
  • Retaining & seat walls
  • Walkways, steps & borders
  • Fire pits & landscape lighting
07

Spring & Fall Cleanups

The bookends of the season. We open the property in spring and put it to bed in November.

  • Complete leaf removal & haul-away
  • Bed cleanout & cutback
  • Gutter clearing on request
  • Final cut & winter prep
08

Snow & Ice Management

Same crew, same standard, twelve months a year. Seasonal and per-event agreements available.

  • Driveway & lot plowing
  • Walk & entry shoveling
  • Salt & ice-melt application
  • Trigger-depth monitoring

How It Works

Four steps. No surprises.

We walk it together

Gerald comes out, walks the property with you, and listens to what's actually bothering you about it. No sales script.

You get it in writing

A written scope and a firm price — what's included, what it costs, when it happens. Nothing gets added later without your say-so.

We hold the schedule

Your service day is your service day. If weather moves it, you hear from us before you have to wonder where we are.

We keep it that way

Same crew, every visit, all season. We flag what the property needs before it becomes a problem you're paying to fix.

in every season.

The Difference

Why people leave
the big guys for us.

Most lawn companies in this market are one of two things: a national franchise running a call center, or a truck-and-trailer that answers when it feels like it. We built Lamareon to be neither.

Questions

Straight answers.

What does weekly mowing cost?

Most residential properties in our area land between $45 and $75 per visit, driven by lot size, terrain and how much trimming the property needs. We don't quote sight-unseen — Gerald walks the property and gives you a firm number in writing, and that number is what you pay.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. There's no annual lock-in and no cancellation fee on maintenance service. We'd rather keep you because the lawn looks right than because a contract says you have to stay. Larger installation and hardscape projects do get a written agreement, which protects both sides.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes — Lamareon Lawn Care Services LLC has been an Ohio limited liability company since October 2002 and carries full liability coverage. We're glad to send a certificate of insurance before we start; commercial and HOA clients usually ask, and we have it ready.

When does the season start and end?

Mowing in Northeast Ohio generally runs from late March through early November, depending on the spring. Cleanups bookend the season, aeration and overseeding happen in early fall, and snow service picks up from there — so we're on the property year-round.

What happens if it rains on my day?

We slide the route, and you hear from us. Rain days shift the schedule by a day or two rather than skipping a cut, and you'll get a text or a call so you're never standing at the window wondering where we are.

How soon can you start?

Usually within a week of the walkthrough during the season, sooner in the shoulder months. Spring is the busiest stretch of the year — if you're planning for next season, getting on the schedule early is worth it.
